Peel School Board Policy?

Those who are from Peel District school board: Is thier contract with Turnitin really over? A couple of months ago(first sem ending I think), there was a message in my D2L which said that Peels contract with turnitin expires late February I think, and it also said they won't renew it(meaning permanently over). I was just checking if anyone else found info about this or I am the only one who got this. I tried to check D2L for that notification but it seems like the old notification just disappeared. Anyways now that Turnitin is gone, are teachers allowed to use any other AI detector? Just curious. Have a good day
