Old Animated movie

Hello everyone. I try to find a old animated movie (70% sure, i was around 8 when i saw it). I will try to explain it from everything i remember. So i believe it was released around 80s to 90s (my birth 1991) for the style i don't think is soviet more like American. Was around a Roman era. So from what i remember they was shepherds and they had a father. His bigger brother took little brother's place for execution. They gave about a week for little brother to arrive from his house to a town to save his brother. At one point, if i remember correctly some people mug him. I remember a scene when he was looking the town from between 2 mountains. He was a bag with him like a messenger bag. Just before he arrived to the town one sandal broke and he was running with only one. Soldiers took the big brother and few minutes the little brother arrived or was the moment they taking him. The movie ended (what i remember) as the little brother saw his brother was crossefied and he cried at his feet. I don't think was from the bible. I don't know the original language because it was dub to Greek from a local tv station
