Intel X25-E as SLOG?
I built a system recently and have a question about SLOG.
Systems specs are as follows: TrueNAS Scale 24.10.2 2x Xeon E5 2420-v4 CPUs 128GB DDR4-2133 Ram (all channels populated on both CPUs) 4x 10gbps bond on Intel x710-DA4 6x WD Red Pro 22TB drives in RaidZ2 Main dataset shares are via NFS and SMB
I have an old Intel X25-E 32gb SLC SSD I got free from a past employer. I know these were niche but very performing drives in there day and being SLC it is very low latency and high IOPS. Does the SATA 2 interface and older NAND make this a bad option for a SLOG drive in my setup? Would some nvme drives be better?
Thanks!
