Not using a trigger shot for FET?

Hey friends!

So I’ve been in a modified natural FET cycle to transfer our last 2 embryos. No meds, just ovulating normally then trigger with HCG + PIO. This will be our 5th transfer, 2nd time attempting this protocol.

Yesterday at my monitoring appointment my lining was 7 mm, had an 18 mm follicle. When my nurse called she said my LH was surging. She said we’re not doing the trigger shot. That my RE said recent studies have shown that using a trigger shot once LH is surging in a FET cycle isn’t good?

So no trigger, just starting PIO tonight.

It’s something I’d never heard before, but curious if you guys had?

Ps hugs and well-wishes appreciated, these are our last 2 (albeit very early blasts that are poor quality and untested) embryos we have left before we have to shell out the money for another retrieval 🥲 RE has given less than 10% of them working but crazier things have happened, we’ll see.
