Auxiliary benefits

Recently approved by ALJ, 🎉 ruled disabled as of 7/2023. I am able to see my backpay pending in my SSA account for direct deposit, & can now see my benefit payments that show starting next month in April….

However, I have a 5 year old and she will get aux benefits from my SSDI… do I just call SSA to set an appointment and from your experience do I just need her birth certificate?

And is her aux benefit 50% of my benefit at minimum or could be less? Also she will get back benefits as I did, right? On my initial app it asked if I had a child and I put yes, but I don’t remember it asking her info or ss number. It just asked if I had a minor child I if remember correctly.

I’m assuming this is standard process and I just need to reach out to SSA, but if anyone has any helpful hints that would be appreciated! Thanks!
