Progress at Work

Hi all, I have been working in life for about a year and a half now. I have made progress in terms of knowledge however I still feel ignorant for a lack of better word. I feel like there is so much more for me to learn and gain experience, however I’m not always presented with the opportunity.

I am very passionate about this work and I enjoy studying in my own time. However when it comes to work, I feel like I am wasting time on mundane adhoc tasks most of the time. Is it normal to feel like this early on in my career? My biggest fear is falling behind people my age because I am not being challenged at work.
