[PC] [2014?] Indie game demo where you're in a bedroom and freak out when you try to leave
Platform(s): PC
Genre: Simulation, I guess? It was a very simple game demo. Almost a snapshot.
Estimated year of release: Around 2014, maybe earlier. I distinctly remember seeing a video about it around the time the 2014 Baking Simulator came out.
The graphics and art style were very light and airy, 3D, simple. Think Catlateral Damage, but prettier. You play in first person POV in a bedroom, you can pick up books and there might have been a note or something you can read? Personal items belonging to the player. There was a window, I think? I vaguely remember you could look out of it. The room had kind of a minimalist japanese type design vibe to it.
I remember there were hints that the player is a lonely or otherwise introverted character. There was a door in the room, and once you started trying to leave the bedroom into the darkness/void beyond, you started getting text at the bottom of the screen affirming kind of depressing thoughts. Like "go back" or "are you sure" or "theres nothing out there for you".
I vaguely remember discovering the game on youtube, possibly ihascupquake or pewdiepie but i can't find anything so im not sure. Im pretty positive this demo was mostly just a test and didnt evolve into anything bigger (which could mean it has been entirely wiped if the author wasnt satisfied) but it randomly came up into my mind and i would LOVE to find it or see it again.
Thank you so much!
