Looking for advice on upgrading my PC

I have around $1000 CAD to spend on upgrading my CPU and GPU. I'm not worried about power consumption.

I am currently rocking the following:

Motherboard: ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming

CPU: Ryzen 5 1500X

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

I did some looking around and it turns out the Ryzen 7 5700X is on sale in my area for around $260, just not sure if its worth the upgrade from my current cpu? and GPU's i have no idea where to even begin.

Thanks for the help folks
