AITAH for wanting my husband to meet my needs

TL;DR

So long and the short of it me (27F) and my husband (27M) have been together nearly 5 years, married 6months. Tonight I got upset over something that has been a longstanding issues with him. He told me he needed to use ham in the fridge and decided to make a carbonara, I am not a pasta girl and rarely eat it. He is full aware of this and my dislike of cream based dishes and pasta. I told him that wouldn’t be something I would eat and didn’t think it was very fair that when he cooks he only thinks of himself and not taking my into consideration, essentially an afterthought. His compromise was doing me pasta with a tomato base. Again, not something I would really eat. I constantly take his needs into consideration when cooking. I prefer Mexican food, curries, rice based dishes and Caribbean/british/Asian cuisines which he is aware of. I don’t cook him rice based dishes or curries or Mexican food because he hates it and has a strong dislike for the flavours. He essentially told me that he offered an alternative, that I’m a picky eater and hard to please; and said I know where the kitchen is. We aren’t speaking atm so I’m wondering AITAH for wanting my dietary/palate needs met or is he out of line as I thought?
