BTU Calculations Advice
Hi,
I am replacing the panel radiator in the bedroom, the existing one sits around 20mm from the underside of the window board and measures 600mm x 1010mm. I am looking to replace it with a 3 column radiator. BTU calculators online all show different calculations.
For reference, the room is 4.2m wide x 3.5m long x 2.4m high. It is solid brick wall property, 2 external walls in the bedroom, heated room beneath and insulated loft above. We were considering replacing with a 500mm x 1010mm to avoid the rad sitting so close to the underside of the window board as we read that there should really be 100mm clearance which we could achieve with this replacement but we are concerned that the BTU rating is too low for the room. Some of the calculators match the rating of the rad we are looking at but others are considerably higher which is where my concerns lies!!
