NEST Pension via Ltd company and Additional Tax Relief

Apologies if this has already been answered.

I'm the director and sole employee of my limited company and I have a workplace pension set up with NEST.

I'm a higher rate tax payer and I've watched some online videos that say I can claim an extra 20% tax relief from HMRC in addition to the 20% tax relief collected by NEST (my pension is relief at source) on my behalf. ChatGPT also appears to confirm this.

However, this is the reply I got from my accountant when I asked about this... "HMRC's view appears to be that higher rate tax relief is only available for private pensions, not for workplace pensions."

Can anyone shed some light on who is right here and is there anyone in a similar position that has been able to claim back the additional tax relief?
