Nursing shifts in BC/Canada?

American here, applying for RN licensing in BC. I'm seeing a lot about rotating shifts, two days, two nights, then off.

Is this still what most hospitals in BC are doing? It would be so hard with little kids! Is there any way to do just days? Is this hospital specific?

Do other provinces like NS or N&L do it differently?
