WIBTA if I left my neighbor a letter asking if we could come up with a solution for an eyesore in their backyard?

I just moved into a new house and my backyard faces another houses backyard, with my house being at an incline I can see their entire backyard from my yard and all of my back facing windows.

They have a dilapidated old shed in their backyard that is white, and the back and side of it are covered in red "graffiti". Not actually graffiti, just probably teenagers having fun.

It is an incredible eyesore and is extremely noticeable from every single angle of my backyard and all of my back facing windows.

Would I be the asshole if I typed up a letter asking them if we can come up with a solution together? I would even offer to go and paint over it myself. I'm just afraid they will take it poorly and I will now have a bad relationship with my new neighbors. I'd attach an image of the shed for reference but I don't think that is allowed here.
