Dry and peeling skin

Has anyone had dry and feeling skin on spironolactone? I was told by a friend that it looks like I may be allergic to it and it looks like I have a rash on my face. My acne is pretty severe and I was hoping this would help. My face is very itchy and I’m obviously trying not to itch. I have only been on it for two weeks so I wasn’t expecting to see improvement yet, but my skin has gotten even worse.
