Can landscape or World Partition settings block bullets in long-range shooting?

I try snipe with my friend from range around 130m and more …and many times it look Like bullets was block by some invisible barier … sometimes a i cant hit him, but he can hit me from same range …do you know what is a problém ? My Island is mybe 300m x300m and i using one big cell maybe thats the problém ?
