Need some help

I’ve got a Xbox fridge and the mother is toast on it so I cut the wires to it when I connect a low voltage battery to it. It powers on for a couple seconds before the battery dies I’m thinking about buying a bigger battery or to wire it where I can use a usb on it would this be safe?
