I (17M) fell for a girl (15F) at my sister’s tuition class, and now she ignores me. How do I get her back?

In 2023, I was 17M, and she was 15F. My sister is a tuition teacher, and after completing my 12th grade, I started helping her as an assistant teacher. That year, a new batch of 10th-grade students joined, and among them, there was only one boy—the rest were girls.

I developed a one-sided love for one of the girls in that batch. She used to talk to me very nicely, and I noticed that she would often look at me, but whenever I made eye contact, she acted as if she hadn’t been looking. This happened multiple times, and my dumbass thought she was giving me signals.

The Christmas Secret Santa Incident

A week before Christmas, we started a Secret Santa game in tuition. Since I was the one making the chits, I rigged it so that she would get my name and I would get hers. It worked—I got her name, and she got mine.

I casually asked her about the kind of gifts she liked, and she mentioned she liked necklaces with her name as a pendant. So, I got her exactly that.

December 23, 2023—The Best Day (or so I thought)

This was the day we revealed our Secret Santas. All the gifts were placed on a table with labels. She opened her gift, assumed her friend had given it, and was about to hug her, but her friend pointed at me and said, “Hug him, not me.”

She almost hugged me but stopped midway, smiled, and just said, “Thank you.” She looked really happy with the gift, and at that moment, I thought 90% of my work was done. I planned to confess to her during the tuition farewell.

The Unexpected Twist

After a short Christmas break, tuition resumed on December 26. At first, everything was normal—she spoke to me as usual. But suddenly, she started ignoring me. Slowly, she stopped talking completely. She didn’t even come to the tuition farewell.

I was devastated. I fell into depression, overthinking everything.

The Instagram Attempt

In November 2024, I installed Instagram just to check if she had an account. I found her, sent a request, and she accepted it. We started texting, and at first, she replied normally. But after a while, she stopped responding. No explanation, no reason—just silence.

What Should I Do?

I still love her so much. To cope, I focused on my studies and even started a side business—for her and for my family. But deep down, I still want her back. If she returns, I feel like my broken heart will finally heal.

Reddit, I need your advice. How do I get her back in my life? Should I try again or move on?
