Got invited to apply for the Kroger Card today. Worth it?

Based on threads here, this card seems very popular. Straight 5% cashback on groceries?

My previous plan was to get the Venture X, then Chase Freedom Flex if the grocery bonus comes back. I'm prioritizing venture X since I've read here that cap one doesn't like too many cards.

And then just need a month between that and Freedom Flex. Not in danger of the 5/24 rule.

Wondering if it's worth getting the Kroger card in case the Freedom Flex doesn't come around. The 5% cashback category on my Freedom ends soon.

For reference, my regular use cards are Freedom Unlimited, CSP, and Costco Citi card in that order. Aside from the Freedom, I have like 6 other cards I rotate occasional use on to keep open.
