Should I buy this Acer Predator Helios 18?
I have a legion pro 5 with a ryzen 7 and an rtx 4070 for myself and I had an older MSI laptop with a ryzen 5 and Radeon 5500m graphics for my family. The screen on the MSI laptop recently broke (the hinge broke very early on and I'm surprised the screen didn't break sooner). I mainly play New World Aeturnum and my legion has been fine for that, although I've felt like it's been falling a little bit short. On high settings I maintain about 90 gps in normal circumstances, although I'd really love to play on ultra and maintain the same FPS. I thought it'd be a good idea to give the legion to the family and buy myself a better laptop. I found this on Best Buy and it has everything I was looking for: rtx 4080 (I've heard it's about 20-30% better which I think is the edge I need to get the performance I want on new world), 32 gb ram (same as my legion), and 1 tb SSD. The price also seems to be the cheapest I can find for what I'm looking for.
Do these laptops have good build quality? The hinge breaking on the MSI without any abuse has made that something I'm fearful of.
Is this a good deal? Or am I just bad at finding deals?
Will this give me the performance I'm looking for on new world aeturnum? Is the 4080 that much better than the 4070? Or do I have bad sources?
