Started Golden Sun last Monday but couldn’t stand the slow pace (took more than 2 hours to really get started and I am not really into JRPGs in general). Gave Metroid Zero Mission a try and absolutely love it. In just 40 minutes I unlocked multiple power ups and moved to the second areas.

Having played multiple Metroid games (Super Metroid, Metroid: Samus Returns, Metroid Dread), I found Metroid Zero Mission to be enjoyable but not very innovative. That is until almost the end when Samus lost the suit and became extremely vulnerable. Changing to stealth game play is refreshing and later when you get the suit again and walk all the way back and no need to hide and blast the space pirates are really satisfying.

I was going to continue and finish exploring areas I didn’t discover completely. But before I load the save again I tried the original Metroid unlocked by beating the game and the whole game crashed and I lost my save (somehow it’s reverted to a save that was 1 hour less gameplay which I am sure is older than my last save before beating the boss)… Really sad. I guess I will move on to the next game and come back after a while to beat it again and do 100%.

I absolutely recommend this game, though I guess everyone knows that this is a must play in the GBA library.

Third GBA game beaten on RG34XX!
