What next?
filed three new claims and one supplemental back in October. I have had all my C&P exams and I am still waiting the decision on the 3 new claims. Today I got the decision for my supplemental and was denied. This claim is for frequent urination secondary to my service connected Lumbar DDD. This was my third try. I first applied for this in January of 2024. I went to a private doctor near me that specializes in VA and SS claims. While examining me for my back I told her about my frequent urination and she explained how it could be related to my DDD. After completing the examination and reviewing my medical records she diagnosed me with the frequent urination. She completed a DBQ and wrote a nexus letter for the frequent urination secondary to DDD and included references to a couple of medical papers to support her position. In the end I was approved for the DDD but denied the frequent urination without having a C&P exam. In the decision letter under favorable finding it stated "None". I filed an HLR, after 3 months I was denied again. This time under favorable finding it stated I have the service connected DDD but stated that I do not have a diagnosis for frequent urination. I have since been seen by my VA doctor multiple times and have been diagnosed with incontinence. I reapplied this time as a supplemental claim. I was given two C&P exams. The first exam opinion was not service connected but the second exam said as likely as not it is service connected. In the latest decision letter under favorable findings it shows that I have the diagnosis for frequent urination and the service connected DDD. What should be my next move? Another HLR or lawyer up? I am currently at 93% and it is possible my three pending claims could get me to 95%.
