Water was off for ten months, drank some today and started vomiting. Is it possible the water is the cause? What kind of bacteria would do this?

25F, 110lbs, 61”

Taking Metformin, Baclofen, Escitalopram, Bupropion, Tramadol, and Promethazine.

Diagnosed with chronic migraine, insulin resistant type PCOS, TMJ, and CPTSD.

Obviously I have nausea related to migraines, blood sugar, and medication side effects, but it’s usually pretty controlled by the promethazine.

My water was shut off for ten months straight. It was turned back on a few days ago. I went to make tea with it this morning for the first time. The water came out yellowish at first, so I let it run until it was clear before I put it in my kettle.

It reached boiling point, and I poured it into my cup. Not five minutes after I finished drinking it, I was vomiting everything back up again. It burned my throat raw as it was coming back up.

All day I’ve had nausea that’s unaffected by my nausea medication. And my stomach is just icky in general. No diarrhea or fever or anything like that. Some stomach pain.

Could it be the water? Some type of bacteria in it or something?
