Silent Hill 2 Theory - Quantum Mechanics

I just watched the movie Coherence a few days ago after it was recommended on this sub. Maybe this has been discussed already, but rather than Silent Hill 2 existing in a time loop, what if it’s a Shrodinger’s Cat situation where James exists in multiple states at once? Multiple realities? There is the physics concept called particle superposition which states that a particle can exist in multiple states at once until it is observed, like Shrodinger’s Cat being both dead and alive in the box until observed. There’s also the concept of collapsing where observation collapses the superposition into one definite outcome (i.e., When we’re playing the game as James and we see the corpse of another James). It’s like collapsing James into one reality, which ultimately leads to one ending out of many options (realities) at the end of the game. Thoughts?
