Buy a car from my stepfather who sells used cars?

I’m back in the market to buy a car after someone without insurance hit me totaling mine.

Is there a benefit to buying from my stepfather who works at a dealership (other than helping him with his sales for the month)?

Not sure if I’d get a better deal from him or if there’s really not much he could do that another salesman at another dealership could.

He works at a dealership in a smaller market area that doesn’t have a big selection and their cars are more expensive.
