48 M4F Pardon me, do you have any Grey Poupon? And other lies us GenX kids were fed #chicago #illinois
Growing up, I thought the following would happen at some point when we’re older:
- We would be propositioned for Grey Poupon at random intersections while being driven in our Rolls Royce
- We would die in quick sand
- The Bermuda Triangle was real and going anywhere near it would be instant death
- Hiding under our desks would protect us from nuclear explosions
So yeah, we were fed a bunch of lies growing up, weren’t we?
Anyway, a bit about myself - I’m 48, married and would like to stay that way, with 2 boys. I’m also not white, but grew up mostly with white and that is generally my preference.
I enjoy travel (domestic or international), sports (baseball and football mostly, some college as well), and working out from time to time. I won’t tell you I’m fit, but I do workout and enjoy the time when I do.
I’d like to say I’m fun, flirty, and a good conversationalist. Whether it’s online, in-person over a coffee, beer, or cocktail, I want to talk.
I’m looking for somebody that identifies somewhere between a GenX and an older Millennial. I’ve been waxing a lot of nostalgia of late (thanks Reddit) and would love to banter about how things were different back in the day. I’d like to chat on Reddit or Telegram and potentially meet in person to see if we click.
If you made it this far, what was your fear growing up (getting older doesn’t count) and what was one of your fondest memories of childhood?
