California guy

I want to meet this guy in California. We meet on ometv 😬, but he was super sweet and he gave me his insta so we stayed in contact, for two months now. He is a really great guy and this summer I am going to visit my favorite cousin who lives an hour away from him, in California. We are planning on meeting up and he wants to go out with me. how should I convince my cousin to let me go out with him, if she thinks i just met him that day. He wouldn’t pull anything weird, he checks out as a real person so there is no chance he is let real and he is only a year older than me. Let me know any suggestions on how to go out with this guy and convince my family he is safe to be with. 🙏
