Just a thought but it’s interesting how ben was acctually the reason rescue was delayed in the end. If Natalie had not killed Ben that day I assume that they could have received more help and assistance than they will be able to in their situation now.

We know the timeline so we know that they still have another winter in the wilderness proposing that they kill and potentially eat the two people we see at the end of the last episode.
