Is Urethane good for beginner form practice?

Technique

I’m fairly new to bowling and am considering getting a urethane ball just to bowl tons of games with to develop proper form. I don’t really care about score or hitting pins at this stage and am wondering if urethane would be a better choice since they don’t absorb oil. I’m just worried about “ruining” a reactive ball’s coverstock by bowling 100s of games with it when score doesn’t matter.

If so, any ball recommendations? Thanks!
