- I am 24, EST, have time every night to do this role and will make an effort to communicate through the day.
- All characters are 18+ and I am 18+
- I can translate to third person at request of my partner.
- I prefer a good mix of planning/ooc and I do not expect the same length response as my starter. Like and start a chat with me to add on Discord.
"In today's news..." How cynical for the TV to be cut at the exact moment coverage was going to continue on Influenza Z. I'm not sure, but I think this is worse than anything we ever seen. My job had been closed since the reports of people getting sick and eating each other. It was sickening to see, and I felt like I didn't stand a chance in a world like this.
I was a cozy executive programming assistant, and my life operated on convenience and automation. I don't know what to think about it, the battle. To have to climb out of the cozy little life I lived and actually have to compete like some Darwinist chaos was taking place, but food was getting scarce, and no one was around to bail me out.
I decided to take a chance. Maybe the looting wasn't as bad as the news was saying, maybe it would be like any other trip and things would be okay. I took my long brown wavy hair and threw it back in a ponytail behind my neck so that I could make sure my waves didn't prevent me from being able to see the full scope of what was going on around me.
As I got in my Grand Cherokee, a bead of sweat dripped down my olive skin. I'm not one for confrontation, and the media was telling me to be scared. I just tried to think "This is just like any other trip." And boy did that optimism get me nowhere. It was like stray dogs running across a highway, people everywhere trying to get what they could. Broken windows and people fighting and wrestling throughout. I just decided maybe if I snuck through, I could make it to get what I need and get out.
I took my keys with me and quickly weaved in and out of the crowd as I listened to yelling and screaming of the passerbys. I quickly grabbed some things in a cart, my full beard feeling like it was about to fall off my face from being slackjawed. I decided that this was bigger and I had to think of my future. Sneaking through and going to the outdoor center and emptying the seed display and quickly running out the door. At the entrance was the first horror I had ever encountered, a man was laying on the ground, groaning as he stood up. The old greeter for the store reaching towards someone and trying to sink his teeth in.
"LOOK OUT!" I shouted to you as I ran and pushed the cart into the side of the greeter and pushed you aside. I quickly shivered as I looked into your eyes. "Do you have a way out of here?"
