I'll say it. I hate Ichigo.

He gives me HUGE Gary Sue. He always wins or he always comes back to win. He always gets stronger. He is every race known to man. Let's break it down:

Why is he, a 15-17 year old teenager, a stronger and hardened fighter than races that have been training and experienced by 100s of years of training? Why does he always, ALWAYS gets a power up after every little downfall? We seriously made this guy a combination of Soul reaper, Quincy, Hollow, Fullbring? When he was just soul reapers/hollow is was a cool hybrid and interesting. But now he's just...everything. I was happy when Ulquiorra killed him. It was short lived though because he just...got ANOTHER power up FROM DEATH. Sure he has as much riatsu as a captain, but again how is he able to just overcome all these fights with a little training?

On the topic of training, let's look at his Deus Ex Machina against Aizen, the Dangai Realm. In the last second, when all is lost and Aizen has essentially reached godhood, suddenly a magic time compressed realm just so happens to exist to give Ichigo years worth of training in a matter of minutes. The hogyoku enables Aizen to transcend beyond the races and reach God hood. I don't care how much riatsu Ichigo has or how he broke the barrier between races, that shouldn't enable him to to combat God status. Not to mention only he can permanently kill the soul king which just continues to touch upon his apparent Godhood status that he just should not have. He lost to uryu in TYBW? He wasn't in bankai so poor argument there.

God I wish this series was about everyone else and Ichigo wasn't he main protagonist. He is one of the greatest examples of ultimate plot armor I have ever seen. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Change my mind (if you can)
