Can you plug a headset into the usb-c port of the console?

The jack on my controller got messed up and I’m looking to replace my headset, would getting a usb-c headset and plugging it into the console work?

More specifically wondering if voice chat would work as that doesn’t work when plugging my current headset into the monitor.
