Captain Kidd? (Question)

I’m almost certain that I read somewhere that Joseph Smith went under the pseudonym of “Captain Kidd” in some form or another. Of that it was at least highly likely? I think it may have been during the time of the Nauvoo Legion? I can’t find any reference to this online and it’s driving me nuts so I wanted to check in here if anybody has a source for it. I’m aware of the Captain Kidd “Cumorah” and “Moroni” connections but this is not what this is in reference to. Thanks in advance ! :D Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
