Cat Advice

My boy cat is showing signs of being sick, and I do not know what to do. He just turned 3 years old this month, and his diet consists of dry food with the occasional wet food. Recently he is not eating any food. It’s been about 2 days now, and he’s refused every single form of food and has only drank water. He has also vomit one time. He gets uncomfortable when someone touches him, and sits alone in the dark which is all very unusual for him. I plan on taking him to the vet as soon as possible, however I need some advice on how it works. As we all know, money is a big struggle, and I don’t know how exactly I’m gonna fund a trip to the vet. Does anyone know of vets that are a bit easier on the wallet? Or how pet insurance works? I will be calling several locations of course, but I would also like to hear some advice from here. I love this cat with my entire heart, and would be heartbroken if something was truly wrong with him. I will of course put his life first even if it breaks the bank if it comes down to that. I just need some advice to make this situation easier and have been very upset about it.
