Roast my New App: music social media
Hi everyone, I've recently developed my first iOS app, inspired by my love of music and frustration with the inability to share Spotify songs with Apple Music friends and vice versa. One thing led to another, and this initial frustration eventually led to the development of an all-in-one music social media app. Echo creates a space where users can share tracks, playlists, artists, and albums from Apple Music, Spotify, or SoundCloud either directly to friends via in-app messages or post to their feed to share with everyone.
In addition to this elevated level of sharing, we also give out a unique daily song to every user that they can rate and review and we slowly learn their taste and give them more tailored recs each day! This is great for those who are stuck in the cycle of poor Spotify/Apple Music recommendations. For the competitive spirits we also offer daily music trivia where you can compete against your friends and the rest of the world.
An additional cool feature is the ability to document events/festivals every step of the way from discovery to ticket purchasing to attending all within our app. Those pictures that usually sit in your camera roll from past events can now be documented in an aesthetic way on your echo profile.
I just launched two days ago and thus would love to get as much feedback as we can about the app as a whole! roast the shit out of it!
