Uneven Wear on Plastic Frame Guide Rails

Hoping you fine folks can help me out. I noticed some uneven wear on the plastic immediately before the first metal guide on my frame the other day. It appears as though the slide is biting into the plastic and removing a little bit. There's also some wear on the barrel on that side. The gun has never been dropped or even bumped hard enough to take off the coating, making me think the issues are related. My question is this: should I be concerned? I've put quite a few rounds through it training and it's certainly no safe queen. This is my main CCW; I couldn't care less about a bit of cosmetic damage. What does concern me is that the issue gets worse and affects reliability.
