Why is the online world so negative compared to the relatively positive real life world?

It seems like in real life people are pretty chill, happy and most seem to be enjoying life. Sure there are some people who are unhappy but a large majority in real life are happy and positive.

However online everywhere you look sense to be negativity. It’s lmao constant at this point online.

Why is this the case?
