Just Moved to Long Beach. Looking to make new friends lol

Going to step out of my comfort zone and ask some fellow LB redditors .. How the hell do you make adult friends in Long Beach !?? haha. Im a 35 M (single & hetero if that matters) ... I have 2 dogs and really want to make new friends. I have a job but don't really connect with my coworkers, They cool but younger and not really same interest.

I joined a cool group class gym so thats a start. Maybe like a pickleball league. Ionno

any recommendations greatly appreciated. I love this city so far just want to enjoy it with people.
