Confused About Australian Immigration – Can the Indian Community Share Some Insights?

Ask opinion 💭

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to the Indian community here for some advice regarding migration to Australia, as I know many of you have a lot of experience with this. I would greatly appreciate any insights or guidance.

Here’s a little bit about my situation:

I’m 26 years old, graduated with a degree in Advertising, and I’ve been thinking about Australian immigration for almost a year. Initially, I was advised by an agent to apply for a Master’s in IT. However, after some research, I realized that the IT field is extremely competitive 😱, so I quickly shifted my focus to Nursing. For the past six months, I’ve been working hard on my PTE exams (aiming for four scores of 65), but I’m still just short of the mark (sigh)...

Recently, I’ve heard that even Nursing is becoming quite competitive, so I started considering blue-collar fields like Civil Engineering or Carpentry 🔧. It feels like I’m playing a real-life version of "Australian Immigration Challenge," constantly switching paths...

I have a few questions I’d love to ask the community: 1️⃣ What is the current reality of nursing in Australia? Is it still worth focusing on language exams? 2️⃣ Since I already have a Bachelor’s degree, can I pursue a TAFE course for immigration? What are the migration prospects after completing it? 3️⃣ If these options are not recommended, are there other fields with a better cost-performance ratio that you would suggest?

I truly need guidance from those who are knowledgeable about these fields, and any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Any thoughts or suggestions would mean a lot. Thanks in advance! And I look forward to hearing from you!
