Controls error, help needed

I'm running the game through steam so I can use my Nintendo Switch Pro controller. Everything works fine, except for some reason the light attacks when a weapon is untransformed. For some reason the standing R1 attacks just do the heavy attack. And yet the running/rolling attacks seem to use the proper R1. I can't fathom how this issue could have arose, and it does not seem to happen when the weapon is transformed. What could I possibly do to troubleshoot and fix this? I can provide more context on the specifics with the issue if needed.
