Best approach

I’m an IMG presently in Canada Ecfmg certified with step1 attempt and pass and step2 ck 21*. I want to apply for family medicine as I have all the required lor. 1 year Canadian experience lor as a clinical assistant 5 months usce under a family physician 1 month Observership inpatient .

I applied for Soap and new programs but I didn’t matched. Please let me know what should I do to increase my chances of matching? *Do I still need more lors ? As I already have 4. I’m planning to give step3 *what is the best time for me to give ? so that I have my results before the program starts for 2026, September. Do I need to keep IM as backup? My yog is 2020 October Thank you
