Captains chair armrest removal

I just looked at a CX90 PHEV today and overall really liked it. The only drawback seemed to be the 3rd row space and getting between the captains chairs was very tight.

I realize this car has a bit less interior space than some other 3-rows but the price is right and if we look at something with more space in its class keeping in the same lease budget we probably have to lose the PHEV which we really love.

I was wondering if the center armrests on the captains chairs were easily removed without damaging the chair to make it easier to get in and out of the third row through the center. We are soon to be living the dual car seat life so sliding the seats all the way forward to get to the third row may not be possible for us.
