What happens if an ant finds a stash of sweets and goes to find his friends and then the stash is gone when they all get there?

I’m asking in the context of consequences. Will the original ant face ridicule or dishonour and/or be banished or court-martialled by the queen ant?

I hear they have very complex societies so how will this ant be treated? He went to get his friends in good faith but some asshole human moved the box of donuts to another place. How will the ants work out if OG ant was telling the truth?

Will they all sit there disgusted or furious for having trekked what could be a long distance for them?
