Can’t get a hold of my letting agency whatsoever

Been trying to get a property recently and applied for a house to let with Allen and Harris. We’ve gone through the procedures, given them the holding deposit which they confirmed they received, and signed the contract for it, but now it’s just complete radio silence from them. The property should now be let agreed to us I’m pretty sure, but I now have no idea what’s going on and can’t get through to the company at all. I’ve sent emails, left voicemails, called multiple times a day for about a week, but no one has ever responded or even picked up the phone. What am I supposed to do here? All I really want to know is that they’ve got all the information they need from us and that the application is proceeding fine, but I genuinely can’t even get a single person to talk to. The deadline for getting a place to live is getting close, and the fact that I can’t get in touch with them at all is worrying. If they’ve letted it to someone else, I need to know and to get the deposit back. Is there anything I can do here but wait for months and hope that I have a place to live?
