Problematic Neighbours

I was looking for some advise - without giving too much information that would potentially give away who I am, incase they are on here.

I am having problems with neighbours, not directly beside me but close enough to cause problems

There was an incident due to noise which resulted in the police being called, not by myself, however due to a previous conversation with said people, about reducing the noise as it was causing a disturbance, they assumed this was me.

I was then verbally abused and threatened by a family member of theirs who lives nearby I happened to run into, they threatened to burn my sheds down in front of my small child, which caused significant distress to him.

I’m worried about contacting the police about this, incase this aggravates the situation further

This is causing significant stress I’m paranoid something is going to happen but unsure of next steps.
