Work orders that make 2 products

Hello Everyone,

We are making use of work order within netsuite to make goods like samples.

But sometimes we make from 1 plank 2 different planks. Today we had some 5,5 meter planks that needed to be sawed into 1,5meter and 3meter. Is it possible to create a work order in which you make 2 products from 1 base product?

How does that go about witht he inventory value?

And if this is not possible what are the solutions you all use to make sure the value are correct?
