What hair gel or what I should use for my hair?

Hey! I was just wondering what products I should use for my hair to avoid damage to my hair and flakiness. I have used eco gel and got2b gel in the past. Eco gel doesn’t hold my hair while got2b becomes flaky and causes me to have to wash my hair everyday. What has worked for you in past that you would recommend?
