Need help finding this anime.

Alright so I know this is probably gonna be pretty hard to find but There is this one anime I distinctly remember well, a guy brought in a cat girl, I think she had the ears and genuinely acted like a cat. So he took her in and he had a female friend who’d come over to help with something, can’t remember what exactly. In one of the episodes the cat girl could smell or sense or just deduce that the other girl liked MC so she ran away and MC went out to look for her, I think it was raining when he did. I didn’t watch after that episode. Pls someone help this has been killing me for years.
