Just want to say thanks for being such a great community!

Reds, it might just be because I'm a little frustrated and hurt but I really want to tell you that I love most of the comments, responses, attitudes and the respect shown to each other in this sub. I like the articles in r/soccer but trying to comment there fills me with trepidation because I just don't know what will take well or what will be misunderstood and lambasted for a differing opinion. I had no more than to say that I wished the media and the internet didn't spread so much falsity and hate and that people wouldn't take to it so strongly, for people to assume I was defending Suarez or somehow condoning racism or maybe just deluded and naive. On this sub I find us to be positive, fun and generally easy-going as a group and it might just be our mutual love for the Reds but we're a tight-knit community that sticks together about the important things without spreading discontent. Once again thank you all, fellow Reds, for making me feel like I'll Never Walk Alone and I hope you'll do the same.

Why do people complain so much about r/soccer? I mean, I could give a fuck what an Internet stranger thinks. R/soccer is what it is and it will never change. So either lose all fucks and just take it for what it's worth, or don't go into the comments.

It's just very fickle. You try and post there hoping for conversation, and never know what you're going to get.

I've had some wonderful conversations where I've learned a lot. I've also been misquoted, misinterpreted, been stereotyped, or otherwise dismissed for my flair.

It's simply too big of a sub and very affected by the reddit hivemind. It's still a great place for news, but is quickly dying as a place for intelligent conversation.

but is quickly dying as a place for intelligent conversation.

To be fair it hasn't really changed much in the 3 odd years that I've been frequenting it regularly. It's always been that way.

Why do Americans say I "could give a fuck"? The expression is "I couldn't care less" not "I could care less" which makes no sense and is used on TV and in here so often by our American mates....serious question..

You're right. Just habit I guess.

I always say "couldn't give a fuck" to be more in line with "couldn't care less."

but that's what I mean....I always hear Americans use the expression 'I could care less' when they are trying to express how little they care about something.....same goes for 'I could give a fuck'......It seems to have crept into common use recently when it makes no sense....

It's just bad grammar, there's no explanation for it other than the fact that people keep saying it wrong makes other people say it wrong. I'm American and I know it's wrong.

(ignoring the r/soccer rant)

what i like about this sub is that its optimistic, i said earlier that theres a fine line between banter and being a cunt and here the majority of times people happily banter and largely discourage cunty comments and posts.

sure there are complaints that were too optimistic but if everyone here bitched, moaned and talked shit all the time and to each other then this place would be no different from facebook or youtube comments.

I agree.

I think this sub, just like almost every other LFC board I've been involved with, is a nice place to be.

r/soccer is useful, but it's surely expected that non-Reds won't always be nice to us as, over the years, we've beaten them all in actual games.

I mean, I'm not football obsessed (although my SO would say otherwise), but I love football, and the love for LFC is lifelong and everlasting.

This sub is full of people from across the globe who understand football and love this club. It's brilliant.

I don't comment as much as many others, but I find myself re-visiting this sub seven or eight times a day.

Big love to all you.

Remember: when we get cut, we all bleed red.

If you wanna talk football then here is the place.

Soccer has too many agendas for me.
