
I haven’t had insurance for a few years and finally was able to go get a cleaning thanks to new job. 
I had/have a few cavity’s (2 on top left molars and 2 on right molars top and bottom)After a cleaning and then a cavity fill, I feel like my mouth and teeth are in so much pain due to the dentist speeding through my sessions and possibly taking shortcuts as he was helping others patients and in and out of room during my 2 visits.

Issue one: 
Last week 03/24/2025 I went in for a cleaning, I got my teeth cleaned as normal. At the end. He went in with this pointy hook tool on my 2 bottom front teeth and was so aggressive/fast I felt a pain and winced. I sit up once the cleaning is done and feel this sharp knife like feeling against my tongue. I address it to him and then a solid white piece comes out sharp and he says don’t worry. 

I proceed to make my cavity appointment and immediately my tongue is getting caught in this new sharp gap in between my teeth. The 4 teeth on my bottom front row are slightly crooked due to my wisdom teeth growing in at the same time when I was 16 but was addressed before more crowding was done. I also have a lisp so my tongue is always hitting the back of my teeth and this sensation is so new and something I’ve never experienced b4. I try to deal with it until my next appointment in a week but my tongue gets so cut up it’s bleeding leading to the tip of my tongue being sore.

Issue 2: 
Monday 03/31/2025, I go in for a cavity fill on my top 2 right molars and I also address the sharp sensation I’m feeling on my teeth. 
Cavity filling is fine up until he fills the teeth. My bite is so crooked that my jaw is slanting right and on one of the molars - there’s a massive round hole he drilled with sharp ridges that is cutting the back of my tongue. My mouth was numb from injections and I could still feel how uneven the tooth was and the grittiness from not smoothing out anything. During this procedure he was in and out of room 4 times as he was doing other patients cavity’s during my fill. He then goes in on my gap, after doing an xray and tells me that bc I haven’t had a cleaning done since 2020, I’m just getting used to my Teeths natural shape and it’s not sharp and. “It was probably plaque in there that was bothering you”.I literally at this point have a huge sore on my tongue that shows otherwise and I’m telling him it’s hurting. He goes in after I told him in the gap and he goes and shaves down the back of three teeth in areas I didn’t have issues and smooths the ridge of the gap. 

After the numbing subsides from the fill, the sharpness on my tongue id worse and cutting my tongue. I have my first meal and the joke is so big food is literally caking up in it and I have to dig it out. 

 Today:
I woke up in extreme pain. My tongue is so swollen from the cuts that I have 2 sores by my cavity site and tip of tongue. My front teeth are swollen and I have searing hot pain shooting down my teeth’s and gums and it feels like they’re on fire.

I don’t know what to do. I had scheduled the last cavity fill for this Friday (04/04/2025) I’m afraid of going in and him rushing to correct it again. On top of that I am afraid my last 2 fills are gonna be worse than I started with.  

Should I go back to this dentist or go to another to address these issues? 




(((((TL:DR Went to dentist for routine cleaning/fills. Dentist doesn’t smooth out teeth/causes uneven areas leading to pain/swelling on toungue due to sharp areas. Over shaves teeth in other areas; all areas worked on are in extreme pain/ flaring up..))
