Is Thailand safe for travel right now? (Solo trip)

Hey everyone so I’m a 19 year old male and I’ve been wanting to do a solo trip to Thailand for a very very long time. I finally have the opportunity to do it now, However, with the recent earthquake, I’m a little concerned and wanted to get some insights from those who are there or have recent experience.

1. Is it safe to visit Thailand right now? Are things running as usual, or have some areas shut down due to the earthquake?

2. Which areas are completely unaffected? I heard Phuket wasn’t impacted and is open for tourism—is that true? I know Bangkok was affected, so would it be better to avoid it and just go to Phuket?

3. Would Phuket be a good choice for a first-time solo traveler? • How safe is it right now? • Are there any weather conditions or other issues I should be aware of? • Any common scams or problems I should watch out for?

What I’m Looking For in My Trip:

I want to relax on the beaches, enjoy the nightlife, meet locals, try some water sports, eat amazing food, and immerse myself in the culture.
